Islam, Culture, and Reprogenetics: Implementation of Genetic and Reproductive Technologies in Qatar

Abstract This paper explores how genetic and assisted reproductive technologies (ARTs) are implemented in Qatar. It investigates medical professionals deal with moral issues surrounding the various applications of these technologies, on basis fieldwork that was undertaken this topic. The places views within local (national/regional/cultural) as well wider normative (legal/Sunni‐Islamic) contexts demonstrates implementation ARTs Qatar is informed by a wide range ethical, legal, professional, cultural norms.
